Garri:Is Garri or Farinha a Shemetic Hebrew dish or Levant dish?

Updated: Nov 19, 2023

Garri is the name for granulated cassava knows as Farinha sometimes growing up in Freetown Sierra Leone. Surprisingly, while researching found out it is also called Farinha in Brazil also South America.

What does Farinha means?

According to Name Your roots webpage:”The English meaning of Farinha is Flour. There are many indicators that the name Farinha may be of Jewish origin, emanating from the Jewish communities of Spain and Portugal”- Name Your Roots.

Farinha in the North Eastern part of Africa known as middle east can be of wheat etc but in West Africa it is known as Garri must popular form from Cassava. Notable variation between white Garri and brown Garri the Ijebu garri hails high from Nigeria a Yourba sub group of people who originated from Yerushalayim known as Jerusalem migrated to Ethiopia then finally South Western region of Nige. Garri is also attributed to the Hausa people in northern Nigeriaa who also are Shemites one Shemite Yisraelite and Yishmaelites.

Garri is very Indigenous to the Shemites or descendants of Shem and was for the opulent now its like survival meal. Do not think its survival but it's the meals of the rich as I once stated on social media. Till today it is sold in Modern day Yirael as Cassava Flour White one I found online was from Brazil and yes it is Farinha or Garri in a bag.

Garri been sold in Yisrael is a dish that is from our ancestors passed down to us the descendants. Whether you in Brazil making Farofa or in West Africa making Achieke or Attieke it is still fried Garri or Farinha.

Eating it like cereal it is still Granulated Cassava. Thus it is both Shemite and middle Easterner food eastern from everywhere in the world by the seeds scattered.
