Flying Chariots of Rhodesia{Zimbabwe}

Updated: Jan 19, 2024

The Flying Chariots of Rhodesia were a group of 12 flying saucers that were allegedly built by the Rhodesian government in the 1950s. According to the story, the saucers were created using advanced technology and were capable of traveling at incredible speeds and performing maneuvers that were impossible for conventional aircraft.

The story of the Flying Chariots of Rhodesia first emerged in the 1960s, when a man named Roy Welensky claimed to have seen the saucers in action. Welensky was the Prime Minister of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland at the time, and he stated that the saucers were being developed in secret by a team of scientists and engineers.

According to Welensky, the saucers were powered by a revolutionary new energy source that allowed them to travel at speeds of up to 7,000 miles per hour. He also claimed that the saucers were equipped with advanced weapons systems and were being used for reconnaissance missions over neighboring countries.

The story of the Flying Chariots of Rhodesia gained widespread attention in the 1970s, when a British journalist named Nick Cook wrote a book about the alleged saucers. Cook claimed that he had spoken to several former Rhodesian government officials who confirmed the existence of the saucers and provided him with detailed information about their capabilities.

However, many skeptics have dismissed the story as a hoax, pointing out that there is no evidence to support the existence of the Flying Chariots of Rhodesia. There are also no records of any government funding or research into such advanced technology during that time period.

In addition, some have suggested that the story may have been a propaganda tool used by the Rhodesian government to intimidate their enemies and boost their own military capabilities.

Despite the lack of evidence, the story of the Flying Chariots of Rhodesia continues to capture the imagination of conspiracy theorists and UFO enthusiasts. Some even claim that the saucers may still be in operation today, hidden away in a secret base somewhere in Africa. However, until concrete evidence is presented, the Flying Chariots of Rhodesia will remain nothing more than a fascinating legend.
